Materials, Timeline & Workshop Access
What to expect from materials and construction, typical timelines, and the local access that comes with working directly with the Seneca workshop.
Materials and Construction
We work with solid hardwoods including walnut, oak, maple, cherry, and ash. For larger panels and case pieces, we use engineered cores with solid wood veneers to prevent seasonal movement while maintaining the look and feel of real wood. Construction uses mortise-and-tenon joinery, dovetail drawer construction, and proper wood movement allowances. Finishes range from hard wax oils to lacquer, chosen based on how the piece will be used and your aesthetic preferences.
Timeline Expectations
Typical custom furniture projects take 6 to 10 weeks from approval to delivery. Timeline depends on complexity, material availability, and finish requirements. We provide firm milestone dates during consultation and update you throughout the process. Rush timelines are available for an additional fee if needed.
Local Workshop Access
Our workshop is located at 170 Harbin Acres Road in Seneca. Seneca clients can schedule workshop visits to review material samples in person, see their piece at any stage of fabrication, and confirm decisions before they are finalized. Local delivery means same-day site visits for measurements and straightforward coordination from the workshop to your home.
